The Essex volunteer fire company is proud to announce the new special unit 513 and utility 516 were placed in service. Special unit 513 is a 2019 Ford expedition SSV in magnetic gray and will be our primary first responder vehicle on EMS calls. This unit is equipped with a first in emergency command cabinet with gear safe and a state of the art Whelen emergency lighting and siren set up. Utility 516 is a 2019 Ford F-350 XLT also in magnetic gray and will be used for various responses. Utility 516 is equipped with an Extend-O-Bed slide out unit to carry various tools and equipment and it also has a state of the art Whelen emergency lighting and siren set up.
