On Thursday evening around 16:30 hours, Engine 511 & Ambulance 515 were dispatched as part of the first alarm assignment for a building fire in the 600Blk of South Marlyn Avenue. First arriving units reported smoke showing from a 2 story duplex with active fire on the first floor. Engine 511 was 3rd arriving engine and was directed to pull a 2nd hand line off Engine 7 and enter side Charlie to knock down the fire in crawl space. Ambulance 515 setup medical standby/rehab as 511s crew performed a primary search of the bravo exposure and assisted in ventilation. The crew then proceeded to assist with overhaul before racking up and clearing the scene around 18:00 hours.
