49th Annual Essex Day

Members from the Essex Volunteer Fire Company woke up early today to set up and staff the well known local event “Essex Day”. We are overwhelmed with thanks for all the kind words and community engagement we received. 2nd Alarm Apartment Fire (Box 8-20)

Last night at 8:30pm Ambulance 515 was clearing the hospital when an apartment fire was dispatched in the Eagles walk apartments on Glendower Ct. Crews from station 8 arrived to find a 3 story apartment building with fire showing. Ambulance 515 along with Medic 8,16,55 and 10 setup medical standby for any potential patients. 2nd Alarm Apartment Fire (Box 21-07)

Yesterday evening Engine 512 responded as part of the working fire assignment on a 2 alarm apartment fire on Starwood Ct in Bowleys Quarters. Part of the crew assisted a civilian with an injured dog while the rest of the crew entered side alpha to assist in extinguishing the fire and knocking hotspots.
